New Business In Amarillo

Mochinut is a new business that is already open in Amarillo but has not had a grand opening day yet. Any time we see a new unique business coming to Amarillo, it gets us very excited!
As a business owner, it's hard to establish a new business in the market, but even harder to introduce something new to the market. The recent trend of new businesses in Amarillo shows that entrepreneurs and business owners still believe in the growth and support of our city.
Any time we can do some research and give these new businesses a try to provide information to our readers is always a +...and I mean who doesn't love sweets!
I mean...look at this stuff! Wow!

As you can see in the picture on the menu, there are some delicious mochinut donuts and different flavors of boba tea that come in these cool, see-through to-go cans. Additionally, rice hot dogs will also be added to the menu for the grand opening.
A mochi donut is a type of pastry that is made with mochi which is a sweet glutinous rice flour and has a doughnut-like shape. It is typically sweet and can come in various flavors, such as chocolate, matcha, and fruit. The mochi dough is formed into a doughnut shape and fried until golden brown. It is often served as a dessert or snack item in Asian-inspired cuisine.
If you would like to show some support to this new business or try something out from their menu they are located at 1915 S Washington St. #300, Amarillo, TX 79109.
This business is now open for business and as ownership provides more information on grand opening dates we will provide that information.
Each week, Grow Amarillo intends to provide information on new businesses coming to town and highlight existing businesses, including exclusive discounts/deals for newsletter subscribers.
Please scroll to the bottom of the newsletter to find out how to be featured.
Our goal is to provide information that readers want, find useful, and can use to support the growth of our city. Some information may be repetitive from the previous week, based on reader engagement. We will repeat information in a following week to ensure all readers receive it, unless it becomes outdated.
The Sod Poodles Information was a big hit and has led us to provide this infromation again with some more added news. Dont worry everything else will get fresh touch week by week.

The Amarillo Sod Poodles home opener is on April 11th, 2023. The exciting part of the 2023 schedule is the amount of games they play at home during summer holidays. Independence Weekend Celebration (July 1-3) will feature the Tulsa Drillers. Mother's and Father's Day games vs Midland RockHounds and San Antonio Missions, respectively, at the ballpark. Attached below is snap shot of the first two month of games. The link below will take you to the full schedule for 2023.

Real Estate
Last week we shared this chart on the number of homes sold in Amarillo over the years.

Real estate median sale price is still up in 2023 but due to the increase in interest rates we have seen more homes are on the market and homes are staying on the market a little longer.
Due to strong employment, our city is seeing growth that still makes Amarillo a desirable place to live. We believe this will be an ongoing trend for years to come, separating Amarillo's market from other markets that are experiencing a decline in home and real estate prices due to high interest rates, a higher supply left on the market, and the supposed recession coming.
Right now real estate seems it will continue to remain desirable in Amarillo.
