Sod Poodles Season Opener Review

It's that time of year again, and we are thrilled to report that the Amarillo Sod Poodles are back in action! The 2023 season kicked off with a bang on April 6th.

The Sod Poodles faced off against the Frisco Roughriders, and the atmosphere was electric. Fans were out in full force, cheering on their team and enjoying the sights and sounds of a classic baseball game. 

The Sod Poodles took 2 games of the 3 games series from the defending champs and are looking to take that momentum home for their home opener on April 11th!

The final scores of the games were:

Game 1: 4-12 L

Game 2: 3-1 W

Game 3: 5-3 W

Amarillo Sod Poodles Home Opener

We are excited to announce that the Amarillo Sod Poodles will be hosting their 2023 home opener on April 11th, and it's shaping up to be an unforgettable night at Hodgetown. Not only is it the first home game of the season, but it's also Taco Tuesday, so you can expect plenty of delicious food and drinks to be on offer.

The Sod Poodles will be taking on the Corpus Christi Hooks in what promises to be an exciting matchup. The gates will open at 5:30 PM, and fans can enjoy pre-game activities such as batting practice, player autographs, and live music. 

At 7:05 PM, the game will begin, and fans can settle in for a night of baseball and entertainment. In between innings, there will be games, contests, and giveaways, so keep your eyes peeled for your chance to win some Sod Poodles merchandise.

In addition to the on-field action, there will be plenty of food and drink options available throughout the ballpark. Of course, it wouldn't be Taco Tuesday without some delicious tacos, and there will be a variety of options to choose from. You can also enjoy cold beers, soft drinks, and other ballpark classics like hot dogs and popcorn.

The Sod Poodles are known for their incredible fan experience, and the home opener promises to be no exception. With a talented roster, a beautiful ballpark, and a passionate fanbase, the Sod Poodles are sure to put on a show. We encourage all fans to come out and support the team as they kick off the 2023 season in style.

Tickets for the home opener are still available, but they are selling fast, so be sure to get yours soon. We can't wait to see you at Hodgetown for what is sure to be a memorable night of baseball, tacos, and fun.
